Empowered Women's Network

Cisco Empowered Women’s Network (CEWN) is a network of Cisco customers, partners, and employees joining together to make a difference for women in business.

Overview

The sixth annual Cisco Empowered Women’s Network Event will take place at Cisco Live Melbourne Thursday 7 March 2019.

The theme for the Empowered Women’s Network event is “IMAGINE YOUR POSSIBLE”.

In the words of William Arthur Ward- “If you can IMAGINE it, you can achieve it”!

There will be a focus on how the sky is the limit for gender equality in the workplace and within the ICT industry.

This year we will have one inspiring woman of influence Marita Cheng, sharing her journey with us. We are excited to have Marita present as a young entrepreneurial woman breaking down barriers and leading the way for a new generation of females in technology. There will be the opportunity for Q&A with our keynote and for networking throughout the afternoon. We also have one of our most popular EWN speakers Michelle Dennedy back for a special guest appearance to help round out the afternoon by hosting the inaugural Women in IT Awards.

Join us for an exciting afternoon of inspiring stories, delicious food and networking!

Just Announced! Marita Cheng, Founder and CEO of aubot, as the Guest Speaker for 2019!

Marita Cheng is the recipient of the 2018 Tasmania Award for Excellence in Women’s Leadership. She was also the 2012 Young Australian of the Year and is a technology entrepreneur and women in technology advocate.
