Cisco Networking Academy
Cisco Networking Academy is changing lives. More than IT skills training; it’s a community whose members are the students, educators, and business leaders shaping the future. Since its inception, Cisco Networking Academy has helped the careers of 7.8 million students in over 180 different countries. We’re changing education, we’re changing businesses, and we’re changing economies.
Cisco Networking Academy Scholarships
Cisco endeavors to transform education and help build the workforce of tomorrow by fostering and developing IT Talent. Two Cisco Networking Academy scholarships were awarded to one student from Valencia College and one student from St. Petersburg College at Cisco Live 2018.
Cisco Networking Academy Dream Team
For the seventh year in a row, a team of a dozen Cisco Networking Academy students and instructors from across the US & Canada were selected for an elite opportunity to work alongside Cisco engineers to help set up and support the massive network that supports Cisco Live Network Operations Center (NOC). The Networking Academy Dream Team is a diverse representation of the future workforce including soon-to-be college grads, military veterans, and career changers looking to expand their IT knowledge and demonstrate their skills in a high-paced real-world environment.
Clean the World
Clean the World’s mission is to reduce the waste created by discarded soap and shampoo products, and prevent the millions of deaths by hygiene related illnesses every year. In partnership with Clean the World, Cisco Live exceed the initial goal of 10,000 kits and attendees assembled 13,000 hygiene kits onsite. These kits included soap, shampoo, and other hygiene items. These kits were donated to the local community in Orlando, specifically to Harbor House of Central Florida & Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando.
Our efforts at Cisco Live directly align with Cisco’s corporate social responsibility goals.
